INGREDIENTS

• Roughly 1 pound Five Marys sirloin steak
• 1 tablespoon butter
• 16 ounces wide egg noodles
• 1 medium red onion, thinly sliced
• 2 cups white or button mushrooms
• 1 tablespoon olive oil
• 2 tablespoons flour
• 1 1/2 cups beef stock
• 1 envelope Lipton beefy onion soup mix
• 1 teaspoon Five Marys spice rub
• Salt and pepper to taste
• 1 cup sour cream
• 1/2 cup chopped green onions for garnish

INSTRUCTIONS

1.) SLICE the steak as thinly as possible, then cook in the butter on medium heat.

2.) Bring a large pot of salted water to a BOIL and cool the noodles according to package instructions.

3.) ADD the onion, mushrooms, and olive oil to the skillet with the beef.

4.) COOK 2-3 minutes until the mushrooms and onion are tender.

5.) SPRINKLE the flour over the top and cook 1-2 minutes until the flour is dissolved.

6.) ADD the beef stock and envelope of beefy onion soup mix.

7.) SEASON with spice rub, salt, and pepper to taste.

8.) Bring to a SIMMER and reduce heat for 5 minutes.

9.) Turn the heat off, and once the pan has stopped bubbling, add the sour cream (high temperatures can cause sour cream to break and curdle), gently fold, and serve over cooked egg noodles.

10.) GARNISH with green onions.
